Events at the state border and within the country - October 06, 2019

On Sunday the 6th of October, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 31 offenders at external borders and within the country.

16 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 person, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the Riga Passenger Port 1 citizen of Latvia entered the country from Sweden, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1996, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

5 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 5 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of at least one parent for her independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Ukraine, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Kazakhstan and 1 - of Tajikistan.
