Events at the state border and within the country - October 07, 2019

On Monday the 7th of October, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 26 offenders at external borders and within the country.

14 trespasser were detected at external borders, including:

At the Grebņeva and the Silene Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 3 - of Kirgizstan were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kazakhstan, 1 - of Uzbekistan, 1 - of India, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Belarus was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 3 citizens of Ukraine and 1 - of India.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Germany, 1 - of Moldova and 1 - of Belarus.
