Events at the state border and within the country - October 08, 2019

On Tuesday the 8th of October, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 41 offenders at external borders and within the country.

21 trespasser were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner with forged documents was detected

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Syria who entered Latvia and presented forged German residence permit, was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents. The man was placed in a State Police short-term detention facilities.

3 citizens of Latvia, who are on the police wanted list, were detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia leaving Riga for London, 1 citizen of Latvia entered Latvia from Manchester and 1 citizen of Latvia entered the country from London, who are on the police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1988, 1975 and 1996, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; and 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 6 foreigners

At the Zilupe and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 4 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Kazakhstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 3 citizens of Ukraine, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Russia, 5 - of Latvia and 2 - of Belarus.
