Events at the state border and within the country - October 09, 2018

On Tuesday the 9th of October, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 39 offenders at external borders and within the country.

16 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, leaving Riga for London, who is on the police wanted list was detected. The man, born in 1973, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreigner

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of the second parent for his independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 2 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Russia and 1 - of Bulgaria.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 18 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Belarus, 4 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Kirgizstan, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of France and 1 - of Ukraine.
