Events at the state border and within the country - October 11, 2018

On Thursday the 11th of October, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 21 offenders at external borders and within the country.

10 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, leaving Riga for Dublin, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1987, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

4 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. At the Pededze Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of compulsory health insurance policies. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point1 citizen of Georgia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 2 citizens of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Belarus, 1 - of Tajikistan, 1 - of Kazakhstan and 1 - of Lithuania.
