On Friday the 12th of October, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 43 offenders at external borders and within the country.
18 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 citizen of Russia with forged documents was detectedAt the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, entered Latvia by car with forged Russian international vehicle insurance policy, was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for using forged documents.
1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered the country from Moscow, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1983, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
2 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreignersAt the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Kirgizstan, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Chili and 1 - of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
1 citizens of Latvia was refused exit from the countryAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia (woman), who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 14 persons - 5 citizens of Lithuania, 4 - of Russia, 3 - of Estonia, 1 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Ukraine.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Russia, 3 -of Latvia, 2 - Belarus and 1 - of Estonia.
