On Saturday the 12th of October, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.
20 trespasser were detected at external borders, including:
2 citizens of Latvia, who are on the police wanted list, were detainedAt the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus leaving Latvia and at the Riga Passenger Port, while carrying out control on list of passenger entered Latvia by ferry, 1 citizen of Latvia entered the country from Sweden, who are on the police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1986 and 1972, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
6 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 4 citizens of Ukraine and 2 - of Georgia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreignersAt the Zilupe and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Belarus was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 2 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Belarus, 5 - of Latvia, 4 - of Ukraine and 2 - of German.
