On Sunday the 14th of October, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 57 offenders at external borders and within the country.
33 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 citizen of India with forged documents was detectedWhile carrying out immigration control, in Eleja Civil Parish 1 citizen of India with forged Indian driving licence was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for using forged documents, the man was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
7 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 3 citizens of Russia and 4 - of Kirgizstan were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 5 foreignersAt the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 3 citizens of Ukraine and 2 - of Georgia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 2 citizens of Ukraine and 2 - of Georgia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 citizens of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 7 citizens of Latvia, 3 -of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - Belarus and 1 - of Azerbaijan.
