On Monday the 14th of October, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 35 offenders at external borders and within the country.
22 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 foreigner with forged documents was detectedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia leaving Latvia, with forged French border stamp marks in her passport, was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents. The man was placed in a State Police short-term detention facilities.
1 person, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Lithuania entered Latvia from San-Petersburg, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1986, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
4 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Terehova and the Silene Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Belarus were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Israel and 1 - of Russia were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners have a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 8 foreignersAt the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Belarus, 2 - of Uzbekistan, 1 - of India and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 2 citizens of Ukraine, 2 - of Estonia and 1 - of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Russia.
