On Tuesday the 15th of October, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 50 offenders at external borders and within the country.
33 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 foreigner with forged documents was detectedAt the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kirgizstan leaving Latvia by truck, who presented forged Bulgarian International Vehicle Insurance Policy, was detected. The forged document was seized. The person was subject to administrative liability
2 persons, who are on the police wanted list, were detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered the country from Moscow and at the Port of Ventspils, while carrying out checks on list of passengers, 1 citizen of Latvia entered the country from Sweden, who are on the police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1969 and 1984, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
At the Terehova and the Grebņeva Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Belarus were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki, the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Azerbaijan, 3 - of Ukraine and 8 - of Iraqi were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 - of Russia were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners have resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period.
At the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Kazakhstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 3 citizens of Ukraine, 2 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Belarus, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of German.
