On Friday the 18th of October, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 35 offenders at external borders and within the country.
22 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 foreigner with forged documents was detectedAt the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Sri Lanka, entered Latvia with forged French border stamp marks in his passport, was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability and returned back to the exit country.
3 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; as well as 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreignersAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia and 2 - of USA, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizens of USA was not commenced, the Russian citizen was subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 1 citizen of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 7 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Poland.
