Events at the state border and within the country - October 19, 2019

On Saturday the 19th of October, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 35 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kirgizstan leaving Latvia by car, who presented forged Kirgizstan Driving License, was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for the use of forged documents. The forged document was seized within the framework of the criminal proceedings.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period, and 1 citizen of Georgia was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

At the Terehova, the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 3 citizens of Kirgizstan, 3 - of Russia, 1 - of Kazakhstan, 3 - of Moldova and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 1 citizen of Lithuania, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Estonia and 1 stateless person of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Latvia, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Kazakhstan.
