Events at the state border and within the country - October 21, 2019

On Monday the 21st of October, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 24 offenders at external borders and within the country.

15 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia (female) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; as well as at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Azerbaijan was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of at least one parent's agreement for her independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 2 citizens of Russia and 1 stateless person.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 6 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Kazakhstan and 1 - of Belarus.
