On Monday, 22 October, officials of the State Border Guard at the external borders and within the country detected 32 offenders.
At the external borders 14 offenders were detected, including:
Detected 1 citizen of Uzbekistan with forged documentsAt Terehovas Border Control Point one citizen of Uzbekistan travelling to Latvia with lorry with forged vehicle registration number was detained. Person returned to the country of departure.
Entry to Latvia was denied to 2 foreignersAt Terehova Border Control Point entry to the country was denied to 1 citizen of Moldova as the foreigner did not have valid travel document, meanwhile at Pāternieku Border Control Point entry to the country was denied to 1 citizen of Belorussia as he did not have valid visa or residency permit. Persons were returned to the country of departure.
At Pāternieku and "Riga" airport Border Control Points detected 1 citizen of Belorussia, 1 of Ukraine, 1 of Nigeria and 2 of Tajikistan who had violated residence regulations in the territory of Schengen states (did not have valid visa or residence permit, exceeded period of stay indicated in visa). Persons were subjected to administrative liability.
Immigration control measures inside the country, violation of entry or stay regulations was detected to 6 persons - 3 citizens of Russia, and 3 of Estonia.
