On Tuesday the 22nd of October, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 27 offenders at external borders and within the country.
15 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
3 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document. At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreignersAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 3 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Ukraine.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 6 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Belgium and 1 - of Ukraine.
