On Thursday the 22th of October, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 16 offenders at external borders and within the country.
9 trespassers were detected at external borders:
- 2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia
At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry and stay, while at the Paternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukrain was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner violated Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 360 "Epidemiological precautions to control the spread of Covid - 19 infection". The persons were returned to the exit countries.
- Violations of resident conditions was detected to 1 foreigner
At "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay specified in the visa), was detected. Person was subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons – 2 citizens of Uzbekistan and 1 – of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 4 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard - 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 - of Lithuania, 1 – of Germany and 1 – of Estonia.
