On Saturday the 24th of October, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 26 offenders at external borders and within the country.
8 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
- 3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia
At the Paternieki Border Control Point 3 citizens of Ukrain were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry and stay, while at the Paternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukrain was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners violated Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 360 "Epidemiological precautions to control the spread of Covid - 19 infection". The persons were returned to the exit countries.
- Violations of resident conditions was detected to 5 foreigners
At Grebneva and "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia and 4 citizens of Georgia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (was not in posession of valid visa or residence permits, exceeded the period of stay specified in the visa-free regime), was detected. Persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 citizens of Georgia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard - 3 citizens of Kasahstan, 2 – of Poland, 2 – of Russia, 1 – of France and 1 – of Belarus.
