On Sunday the 28th of October, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 37 offenders at external borders and within the country.
21 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
10 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus and 4 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country; 3 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; and 1 citizen of Peru (woman) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreignersAt the Pāternieki, the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Ukraine and 2 - of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 citizens of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Finland, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of German and 1 - of Bosnia and Herzegovina and 1 stateless person of Estonia.
