On Monday the 29th of October, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 19 offenders at external borders and within the country.
12 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
4 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia and 1 citizen of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreignersAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine, 1 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Kirgizstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Kirgizstan was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 2 persons - 1 citizen of Estonia and 1 - of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 5 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Belarus, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Lithuania.
