On Thursday the 29th of October, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 31 offenders at external borders and within the country.
15 trespassers were detected at external borders:
- 1 persons who are on the police wanted list, was detained
At the “Riga” Airport border control point 1 citizen of Latvia exited the country to London, who are on the Police wanted list, was detected. Person, born in 1980, was detained and handed over to the State Police Officers.
- 8 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia
At the “Riga” Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Georgia was refused entry into Latvia as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen area, while at the Paternieki 7 citizens of Ukrain were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners violated Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 360 "Epidemiological precautions to control the spread of Covid - 19 infection". The persons were returned to the exit countries.
- Violations of resident conditions was detected to 3 foreigners
At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point and Silene Border Control Point 2 citizens of Georgia and 1 citizen of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (was not in posession of valid visa or residence permits, exceeded the period of stay specified in the visa-free regime), was detected. Persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 3 citizens of Georgia, 1 – of Estonia and 1 – of Uzbekistan.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard - 6 citizens of Belarus, 1 – of Russia, 1 – of Lithuania, 1 – of Kirgizstan, 1 -of Ukrain and 1 – of Lithuania.
