On Wednesday the 31st of October, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 48 offenders at external borders and within the country.

17 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 persons with forged documents were detected

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine, entered Latvia by car, was detained for use of forged Ukrainian International vehicle insurance policy. While 1 citizen of Belarus, leaving Latvia, was detained for use of forged Belarusian driving licence. The citizen of Ukraine was subject to administrative liability, but the criminal proceedings were initiated against the citizen of Belarus. The man was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 - of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreigners

At the Grebņeva, the Pāternieki, the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Kazakhstan, 1 - of Kirgizstan and 1 - of Philippines, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 19 persons - 6 citizens of Russia, 5 - of Lithuania, 4 - of Estonia, 2 - of India, 1 - of Moldova and 1 - of Azerbaijan.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Belarus and 1 - of German.
