On Sunday the 1st of September, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 30 offenders at external borders and within the country.
16 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
10 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Terehova and the Silene Border Control Points 2 citizens of Kirgizstan and 1 - of Belarus were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; as well as 2 citizens of Moldova were refused entry, as the foreigners have a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 5 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreignerAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 2 citizens of Estonia and 1 - of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Estonia, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of France, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Israel and 1 - of Belarus.
