On Sunday the 2nd of September, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 41 offenders at external borders and within the country.

18 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

6 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 - of Uzbekistan were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 4 citizens of Ukraine and 1 - of Georgia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreigners

At the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Azerbaijan and 1 - of Georgia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 8 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 14 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Lithuania, 3- of Latvia, 3 - of Belarus, 1 - of Poland and 1 - of German.
