On Wednesday the 5th of September, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 45 offenders at external borders and within the country.

28 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

5 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Ukraine, 1 - of Georgia and 1 - of Moldova were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 6 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 6 citizens of Azerbaijan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 3 citizens of Azerbaijan was not commenced, the other citizens were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Latvia and 2 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Ukraine.
