On Sunday, September 8 State Border Guard officers at the external border and inside the country detected 16 offenders.
At the external border 5 offenders were detected, including:
• 2 foreigners were refused to enter Latvia
At Grebneva and "Riga" Airport Border Control Points one citizen of Russia and one citizen of Armenia were refused to enter Latvia on the purpose of lack of valid visa or residence permit. All persons were returned to the country of departure.
• 2 overstayers were detected
At Paternieki and "Riga" Airport Border Control Points were detected 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 citizen of Azerbaijan who overstayed the permitted stay (overstayed permitted amount of days defined in visa, absence of valid visa or residence permit) on the territory of Schengen states. Persons were subjected to administrative processing.
Operating Immigration control inside the country 8 persons were detected who violated entry or residence regime: 4 citizens of Lithuania, 3 Estonian citizens and one Russian citizen.
State Border Guard officials detected 3 persons who violated exploiting of vehicles and vessels: 1 German citizen, 1 citizen of Uzbekistan and 1 citizen of Estonia.
