On Tuesday the 11th of September, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 58 offenders at external borders and within the country.

37 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

• 4 foreigners with forged documents were detected

At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Estonia, entered into Latvia by car and presented forged Rumanian driving licence, was detected. Criminal proceeding were initiated for using forged documents; the man, born in 1989, was subject to security measures not related to deprivation of liberty. While carrying out profiling of passengers at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Iraq and 2 minor citizens of Syria with forged Rumanian ID cards were detained. Criminal process was initiated against the citizen of Iraq and a citizen of Syria, born in 2002, for use of forged documents. The citizen of Iraq was placed in a state police detention centre, the both citizens of Syria were handed over to the Juvenile Affairs Board of the State Police.

• 5 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Grebņeva and the Terehova Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. At the Silene Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

• Violations of resident conditions were detected to 5 foreigners

At the Terehova, the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Tajikistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other offenders were subject to administrative liability.

• 1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, leaving the country for Antalya, who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The woman was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Russia and 1 national of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 13 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Latvia, 3 - of Russia and 2 - of Lithuania.
