On Wednesday the 12th of September, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 52 offenders at external borders and within the country.

24 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

• 4 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Ukraine and 1 of Georgia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states, and 1 citizen of Georgia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

• Violations of resident conditions were detected to 5 foreigners

At the Terehova, the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The offenders were subject to administrative liability.

• 1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, leaving the country for Glasgow, who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The man was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 13 persons - 4 citizens of Estonia, 3 - Lithuania, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Syria, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of India and 1 - of Latvia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 15 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Latvia, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Croatia.
