On Friday the 14th of September, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 52 offenders at external borders and within the country.
17 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
• 3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia
At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and she was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states, and 1 citizen of Georgia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
• Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners
At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 - of China, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The both women were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 5 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Estonia and 1 of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 27 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Russia, 5 - of Latvia, 5 - of Belarus, 4 - of Estonia, 2 - of Kirgizstan, 1 - of German, 1 - of Poland, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Kazakhstan and 1 - of Uzbekistan.
