On Monday the 17th of September, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 45 offenders at external borders and within the country.

25 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

• 1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, leaving Riga for London, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1959, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

• 8 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 4 citizens of Ukraine, 2 - of Georgia and 1 - of Moldova were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; and 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has already used the period of stay in the territory of the Schengen Area authorised by the visa. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

• Violations of resident conditions were detected to 5 foreigners

At the Silene, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Ukraine, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Georgia and 1 - of Kazakhstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Georgia and the citizen of Kazakhstan was not commenced, while the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 4 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of India.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Serbia, 1 - of Mongolia and 1 - Latvia.
