On Saturday the 22nd of September, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 45 offenders at external borders and within the country.

20 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Ukraine with forged documents was detected

At the Pātaernieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine, entered into Latvia by car and presented forged Ukrainian driving licence, was detected. Criminal proceeding were initiated for using forged documents. The man was subject to security measures not related to deprivation of liberty.

7 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pātaernieki Border Control Point 4 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the Terehova, the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Moldova and 1 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners have a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreigners

At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Iran and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 13 persons - 7 citizens of Lithuania, 3 - of Estonia, 1 - of Russia and 2 non-citizens of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Belarus, 2 - of Ukraine, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Poland and 1 - of Estonia.
