On Sunday the 23rd of September, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 55 offenders at external borders and within the country.
33 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
11 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; as well as 7 citizens of Ukraine, 2 - of Georgia and 1 - of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 9 foreignersAt the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 4 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Georgia, 2 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Kazakhstan and 1 - of Azerbaijan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Azerbaijan and 2 - of Ukraine was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
2 citizens of Latvia were refused exit from the countryAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 minor citizens of Latvia, who were not in possession of notarially certified agreement at least one of the parents for child independent travelling outside Latvia, were detected. The young girls were refused exit from the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 5 citizens of Lithuania and 3 - of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 14 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 7 citizens of Latvia, 4 - of Russia, 1 - of Azerbaijan, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Estonia.
