On Monday the 24th of September, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 44 offenders at external borders and within the country.
29 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
13 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Terehova Border Control Point 4 citizen of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 6 citizens of Ukraine and 2 citizens of Moldova were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states, and 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreignersAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Georgia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other person was subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Russia and 1 stateless person of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Estonia, 3 - of Belarus, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Latvia.
