Events at the state border and within the country - September 27, 2018

On Thursday the 27th of September, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 34 offenders at external borders and within the country.

19 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 3 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreigner

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, whose passport was not valid to travel outside the Schengen area, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 2 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Belarus.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Belarus.
