On Friday the 28th of September, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.

19 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreigners

At the Zilupe and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 2 - of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

3 citizens of Latvia were refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of at least one of the parents for his independent travelling outside Latvia and 1 citizen of Latvia (woman), who was not in possession of valid travel document, as well as 1 1 citizen of Latvia (woman), whose passport was not valid to travel outside Schengen zone, were detected. The persons were refused exit from Latvia.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 2 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Kazakhstan, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of India and 1 - of Latvia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 14 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 7 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Lithuania, 2 - of German and 2 - of Latvia.
