On Saturday the 29th of September, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 41 offenders at external borders and within the country.

23 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 citizens of Latvia, who are on the police wanted list, were detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered from Burgas, and 1 citizen of Latvia, entered from London, who are on the police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1959 and 1983, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, and 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 5 foreigners

At the Silene, the Terehova and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Tajikistan, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

Citizens of Latvia were refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Latvia and 1 - of Lithuania, who were not in possession of valid travel document, were detected. The persons were refused exit from Latvia.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 3 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Ukraine.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 13 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Belarus, 2 - of Russia, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Kazakhstan and 1 - of Belgium.
