On Sunday the 30th of September, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 38 offenders at external borders and within the country.
19 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
4 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Pāternieki Border Control Point 4 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreignersAt the Grebņeva, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 3 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Ukraine was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
3 citizens of Latvia were refused exit from the countryAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 minor citizens of Latvia, who were not in possession of notarially certified agreement of at least one of the parents for their independent travelling outside Latvia, and 1 citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of valid travel document, were detected. The persons were refused exit from Latvia.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Estonia and 1 - of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 13 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Latvia, 2 - of Belarus, 2 - of Estonia and 1 - of Belgium.
