On Friday, June 12 a Cooperation Management Group meeting was held at the State Border Guard, where the Heads of the State Border Guard, the State Police, the State Revenue Service, the Food and Veterinary Service and the State Environmental Service met.
During the meeting, the representatives of the institutions discussed topical issues in the field of inter-institutional cooperation, approved the "The Analysis of Possible Threats (Risks) to the Security of the Republic of Latvia State Border for 2019", as well as current trends in 2020 and other issues related to state border security.
The Cooperation Management Group meeting is organized based on the Cabinet of Ministers Instruction No.5 of May 5, 2010 "Procedures by which State Administrative Institutions Shall Co-operate in Matters of State Border Security" and its composition is determined in accordance with the five-party inter-ministerial agreement of April 21, 2016 on co-operation in matters of state border security.
