On Friday, January 13, 2023, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia detected 34 offenders at external borders and within the country.
20 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
- entry into the Republic of Latvia was refused to 3 foreigners
at the „Riga” Airport Border Control Point, entry into the Republic of Latvia was refused to three citizens of Azerbaijan, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of their entry and stay. The persons were returned to the country of departure.
- conditions of residence were violated by 9 foreigners
two citizens of Ukraine, three – of Tajikistan, three – of Kazakhstan and one – of Philippine were detected at the Grebņeva and the „Riga” Airport Border Control Points for violating the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen Area Countries (exceeded the duration of stay specified in a visa, were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit). The persons were subjected to administrative liability.
- exit from the Republic of Latvia was refused to 3 citizens of Latvia
at the „Riga” Airport Border Control Point, three citizens of Latvia, departing for London without valid for travelling to Great Britain documents, were detected. The persons were banned from leaving the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected for 3 citizens of Uzbekistan.
Within the framework of vehicle and vessel operations, 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia – three citizens of Belarus, two - of Russia, two – of Uzbekistan, one – of Moldova, one – of Serbia, one – of Tajikistan and one – of Ukraine.
