On Friday, February 1,the Chief of State Border Guard General Guntis Pujāts met with the Chairman of the European People's Party Group in the European Parliament Manfred Weber.
The Chief of the State Border Guard presented to Mr. M.Webber the National Coordination Centre of the Operational Management Board, its tasks, demonstrated the European Border Surveillance System (EUROSUR), the border surveillance technical means - the presence detection systems and the border surveillance management system; as well as told about the State Border Guard activities and participation in Joint Operations coordinated by the European Agency FRONTEX.
