On Saturday, November 12, 2022, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia detected 46 offenders on both external borders and within the country.
21 trespassers were detected on external borders, including:
- entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused to 10 foreigners
at “Grebņeva”, “Terehova”, “Silene” and the “Riga” Airport border control points, entry into the Republic of Latvia was refused to one citizen of Belarus, as the foreigner was not in possession of a valid visa or residence permit, one citizen of Ukraine, as the foreigner was not in possession of a valid travel document, six citizens of Moldova, as foreigners could not justify the purpose and circumstances of their travel and stay, and one citizen of Ukraine, as the foreigner was prohibited as the foreigner is prohibited to travel and stay in the territory of the Schengen area countries. People were returned to their countries of origin.
- conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area were violated by two foreigners
two citizens of Great Britain, one citizen of Moldova, one citizen of Ukraine, one citizen of Kazakhstan, and one citizen of Ukraine were detected at the “Vientuļi”, “Grebņeva” and the “Riga” Airport border control points for violating the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area (exceeding the duration of stay specified in a visa or a visa-free regime). The proceedings in the case of administrative violations by one citizen of Great Britain were not initiated; other people are subjected to administrative liability
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected by four people - three citizens of Estonia and one citizen of Russia.
Within the framework of vehicle and vessel operations, 21 people were subjected to administrative liability or were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - five citizens of Russia, four citizens of Belarus, three citizens of Latvia, three citizens of Estonia, two citizens of Kazakhstan, two citizens of Ukraine, one citizen of Greece, one citizen of Kyrgyzstan, and one citizen of Germany.
