On Tuesday, November 22, 2022, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia detected 23 offenders on both external borders and within the country.
7 trespassers were detected on external borders, including:
- entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused to three foreigners
at “Grebņeva” and the “Riga” Airport border control points, entry into the Republic of Latvia was refused for two citizens of Uzbekistan, as foreigners could not justify the purpose and circumstances of their travel and stay. For security reasons entry into the Republic of Latvia was denied to one citizen of Russia. People were returned to their countries of origin.
- exit from the Republic of Latvia was refused to one citizen of Latvia
at the “Riga” Airport border control point, one citizen of Latvia departing for Edinburgh without a valid travel document required for entering Great Britain was detected. Person was prohibited from leaving the country.
Within the framework of vehicle and vessel operations, 16 people were subjected to administrative liability or were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - six citizens of Belarus, three citizens of Russia, two citizens of Lithuania, one citizen of Kazakhstan, one citizen of Kyrgyzstan, one citizen of Moldova, one citizen of Uzbekistan, and one citizen of Sweden.
