On Friday, November 3, 67 persons were stopped from illegally crossing the border between Latvia and Belarus, while a total – 13050 persons have been stopped during this year.
Due to humanitarian reasons, 53 persons were not banned from crossing the state border during the past 24 hours.
A total 406 persons have been admitted for humanitarian reasons this year.
On November 3, officials of the State Border Guard detected 53 offenders at external borders and within the country.
32 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
- entry into the Republic of Latvia was refused to 3 foreigners
at the Terehova, the Grebņeva and the „Riga” Airport Border Control Points entry into the Republic of Latvia was refused to one citizen of Ukraine, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of his entry and stay; as well as to one citizen of Uzbekistan, as the foreigner was banned from entry into the territory of the Schengen States. One more citizen of Russia was banned from entry into the Republic of Latvia due to security reasons. The persons were returned to the countries of departure.
- conditions of residence were violated by 8 foreigners
six citizens of Uzbekistan, one – of Turkey and one – of Georgy were detected at the „Riga” Airport Border Control Point for violating the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen Area Countries (exceeded the duration of stay specified in the visa-free regime, were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit). The persons were subjected to administrative liability.
- exit from the Republic of Latvia was refused to 1 citizen of Latvia
at the „Riga” Airport Border Control Point one citizen of Latvia, departing for Edinburg without valid for travelling to Great Britain document, was detected. The person was banned from leaving the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected for 3 persons – 2 citizens of Russia and one – of Uzbekistan.
Within the framework of vehicle and vessel operations, 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia – ten citizens of Belarus, one – of Latvia, one – of Lithuania, one – of Kazakhstan, one – of Kirgizstan, one – of Tajikistan and one – of Germany.
