On Saturday, October 1, 2022, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia detected 47 offenders on both external borders and within the country.
24 trespassers were detected on external borders, including:
- entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused for 20 foreigners
at „Grebņeva”, „Terehova”, „Silene”, „Pāternieki” and the Airport „Riga” border control points, entry into the Republic of Latvia was refused to three citizens of Russia and three citizens of Ukraine, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits. Additionally, 13 citizens of Russia were denied entry into the Republic of Latvia for security reasons. All people were returned to their country of exit.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected by three people - two citizens of Lithuania and one citizen of Tajikistan.
Within the framework of vehicle and vessel operations, 20 people were subjected to administrative liability or were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - eight citizens of Belarus, three citizens of Ukraine, two citizens of Russia, two citizens of Estonia, two citizens of Moldova, two citizens of Serbia, and one citizen of Israel.
