On Friday, September 16, 2022, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia detected 47 offenders on both external borders and within the country.
22 trespassers were detected on external borders, including
- entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused to three foreigners
at „Terehova” and Airport „Riga” border control points, entry into the Republic of Latvia was refused to one citizen of Russia, one citizen of Kazakhstan, and one citizen of Uzbekistan, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits. Persons were returned to their country of exit.
- conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area were violated by eight foreigners
four citizens of Russia and four citizens of Uzbekistan were found to have violated the conditions of residence in the Schengen area (exceeded the period of stay specified in the visa or visa-free regime, no valid visas or residence permits). Persons were subjected to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected by four persons - two citizens of Azerbaijan, one citizen of Turkey, and one citizen of Lithuania.
Within the framework of vehicle and vessel operations, 21 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - seven citizens of Belarus, four citizens of Russia, three citizens of Moldova, one citizen of Latvia, one citizen of Lithuania, one citizen of Poland, one citizen of Serbia, one citizen of Ukraine, one citizen of Uzbekistan, and one citizen of Czech Republic.
