On Monday, 29 July 2019 on road "Krāsava - Rēzekne" border guard saved a women from crashed and burning car.
On Mondays afternoon the State Border Guard official who is from Ludzas administration Aizgāršas border guard unit was driving from places of service "Krāsava - Rēzekne" and saw on side of road a standing man with visible bodily injury. The border guard immediately stopped a car and detected burning car "Opel Zafira" which was in in the ditch. In the car was the wife of the above person.
The border guard immediately called the responsible services and ran to the car, tilted rear car door and helped to women get a safe distance.
When women was saved, border guard returned to car to make sure there is not any person in car and tried to extinguish flames.
At the event place arrived the State Police and National Fire and Rescue Service and Emergency medical Service.
