On November 20, 2024, the training awareness session on the use of a CO² detector organized by Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency took place at the premises of the Focal Point Terehova (LCC Ludza).
The main goal of the training was to provide basic theoretical knowledge, as well as to develop practical skills of using the device, on site, in border checks activities. The use of a device will enable border guards to detect illegal activities in the field of irregular migration.
The respective training have been attended by Frontex Standing Corps officers, as well as Latvian State Border Guard officials.
